Abstract

Abstract                Most women in Indonesia do not know about menopause, especially those in rural areas. This ignorance is based on the view that menopause is a natural symptom. Women who enter menopause, often feel that they are no longer perfect as a woman. This condition often causes psychological stress and stress. Information about menopause provided through health education is needed to increase knowledge and help reduce menopause symptoms. The purpose of the literature study was to determine the effect of health education using booklets on the knowledge and attitudes of menopausal mothers. This type of research is a literature study. The research method used is to determine the theme of the journal references obtained. Researchers conducted journal searches using keywords and journal-based, through Google Scholar, Digital Reference Garba (GARUDA Ristekdikti) and Google Search. The literature used is literature published from 2015 to 2020. The results of the literature study show that the characteristics of menopausal mothers are mostly at the age of 50-60 years, last education in elementary and high school and the average mother's occupation as a housewife, and there are the influence of health education on knowledge and attitudes of menopausal mothers. Based on 20 journals that have been reviewed, it is found that there is an effect of health education on the knowledge and attitudes of menopausal mothers  Keywords: health education, booklets, knowledge, attitudes, menopause
