Boejasin Hospital http://ejurnalbidanbestari-poltekkesbjm.com/index.php/JKB/article/view/192
According to the Indonesian Ministry of Health (2021), neonatal deaths reached 20,154, primarily caused by low birth weight (LBW). Medical records at H. Boejasin Hospital revealed a significant increase in LBW births, from 52 (15.6%) in 2022 to 87 in 2023. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between maternal anemia, age, and parity with low birth weight (LBW) at H. Boejasin Hospital. This analytical descriptive study employed a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of 379 newborns at H. Boejasin Hospital in 2023 using secondary data, this data uses Chisquer analysis. The results showed that 23% of newborns had LBW, while 37.3% of mothers had anemia. Mothers under 20 or over 35 years old accounted for 31.4%, and those with high-risk parity (1 and >3) comprised 25.5%. Bivariate analysis revealed significant relationships between maternal anemia (p-value < 0.001) and age (p-value = 0.009) with LBW, but no association between parity and LBW (p-value = 0.221). There is an association between anemia and age in laboring mothers with the incidence of Low Birth Weight (LBW) at RSUD H. Boejasin. Pregnant women should understand risk factors and prevention strategies for LBW to mitigate its occurrence.
Lisa Puda Juntika, Rafidah Rafidah, Yuniarti Yuniarti, Rubiati Hipni ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://ejurnalbidanbestari-poltekkesbjm.com/index.php/JKB/article/view/192 Mon, 30 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Factor Related to Women's Delay in Undergoing Breast Cancer Examination at Dr. H. From several studies that concluded that the delay in examination ≥3 months, based on the register data, monthly reports and medical records of RSUD dr. H. Underweight conditions in children under five years old are more dangerous, but are usually not directly related to family nutritional problems. Low birth weight (LBW) is one of the causes of underweight in children under five years old. The aim is to see how to deal with underweight in toddlers. This article was written using the literature review method with a literature review taken from health journal databases such as Google Scholar and Pubmed; articles selected based on full text, free open access, and in English and Indonesian. The results show that treatment and prevention of underweight are very important for toddlers.
Iftita Laistania, Arum Meiranny ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://ejurnalbidanbestari-poltekkesbjm.com/index.php/JKB/article/view/202 Tue, 05 Aug 2025 10:13:25 +0700 The Relationship between Mobilization and Smooth Breastfeeding in Caesarean Section Mothers at H. This pain made it challenging for them to find a comfortable position to nurse.

The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a relationship between mobilization and the smoothness of breast milk production in post-cesarean section mothers. This study used an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of all postpartum mothers who had undergone a cesarean section, totaling 30 respondents. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with accidental sampling. Data collection instruments were used to gather direct data through observation sheets adapted from a previous study. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test. The Spearman test yielded a p-value of 0.000, which means (p<0.05). This indicates that Ha (alternative hypothesis) is accepted, and Ho (null hypothesis) is rejected, suggesting that there is a significant relationship between mobilization and the smoothness of breast milk production in post-cesarean section mothers at RSUD H. Boejasin Pelaihari. The strength of the relationship is very strong and positive. There is a significant relationship between mobilization and the smoothness of breast milk production in post-cesarean section mothers, with a very strong positive correlation.
Nina Mufdalifah, Erni Yuliastuti, Efi Kristiana, Rusmilawaty Rusmilawaty ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://ejurnalbidanbestari-poltekkesbjm.com/index.php/JKB/article/view/196 Wed, 06 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0700 The Relationship of Husband’s Knowledge and Support to Pregnant Women’s Compliance in Carrying Out Pregnancy Examination Visits http://ejurnalbidanbestari-poltekkesbjm.com/index.php/JKB/article/view/195

Introduction: Pregnancy examination is an important part of the birthing process and will have a positive impact on the pregnant mother and the fetus she is carrying. Pregnant women who know the benefits and importance of prenatal check-ups will be more compliant in carrying out ANC visits compared to pregnant mothers who don't know about it. Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between knowledge and support from husbands on pregnant women's compliance in carrying out pre-natal check-up at the Tirta Jaya Community Health Center, Tanah Laut Regency.

Method: ANC visit data was obtained from the KIA book, cohort register, while husband's knowledge and support variables were obtained through a questionnaire distributed to selected respondents. To determine the relationship between these two variables, the chi square test was used.

Results: The results of the research conducted showed that a relationship was found between knowledge and compliance (p value of 0.029 ± 0.05). Pearson's Chi square test shows a figure of 5.776 or 57.76% for the knowledge variable and a p-value of 0.029 ± 0.05 for the husband's support variable.

Conclusion: The results of the study show that knowledge and support have a strong relationship with the intensity of pregnancy check-up visits for pregnant women, as evidenced by the existence of a significant relationship between variables, namely husband's knowledge and support for compliance.

Keywords: husband's support, Pregnancy examination, Knowledge
Norlia lia, Yuniarti Yuniarti, Rubiati Hipni, Rita Kirana ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://ejurnalbidanbestari-poltekkesbjm.com/index.php/JKB/article/view/195 Wed, 06 Aug 2025 00:00:00 +0700
